very nice pic.How many do you have at 46 days? and what was the beginning larvae?
looks good!

I had 7 on Saturday. But I've seemed to have lost 2 between then and Tuesday. Not sure what happened. No body or anything!

I'm not sure what you mean with your second question???

at what day did you put the rock in?

I had a couple of stupid decorations lying around from my FW tank so I washed them and threw them in there. I don't actaully recall the day it was. But I would guess around day 15 or so. It was the same time I put the power filter on!

:D Well I finally had an almost 100% hatch last night most appear to be swimming around. Hopefully my rotifers will hold up as my one culture crashed while I was away this weekend. The other did not look very strong. It's always something LOL!

Well we are at the start of day 5 and I have a lot probably 80+ doing well.

A good hatch obviously helps but I constantly feed rotifers every chance I got. I even took some of the gunk from the bottom of the rotifer tank and put it in the larvae tank when I started. I co-cultured the rotifers and the larvae. When I cleaned the tank bottom I put it through my rotifer screen and then looked under the microscope. Their were lots of rotifers and tons with mutiple eggs sacs so I was pretty sure they were eating well. The night of day 3 just before the lights went out I added BBS and my sponge filter which was in my growout tank. My ammonia was just above zero and the morning of day 4 my ammonia had dropped back to zero. This was with only very small water changes. I feed more BBS all of day 4 and again this morning. They appear to be eating and doing well.

I am very excited I think I understand the whole process now. The clowns laid another batch either late Friday or early Saturday. So by the time the eggs are ready the larvae should be transferable.

I'll try and take some pics tonight.

So you put a sponge in when they are that small? will the rots get caught in it?"

I only feed BBS starting on day 4. It took about 2 days for the water to clear. So they ate whatever rots were left. The flow through the sponge filter is not very high.

I personally have a sponge in the tank on day one. It is off until meta, but still provides biological filtration. Post meta I increase airflow as high as the clowns seem to be able to handle comfortably.
