It's my moms birthday, but i'm goign to try to be there.

All are welcome at our meetings. You don't have to be a member, or even join afterwards, if you don't want. You might miss out on a frag or somethign from the meeting and any discounts, but there is no pressure to join. You can hang out with us and find your inner fish geek and join if you decide you'd like to. We're just a bunch of big coral geeks.

Fan, usually there is some trading going on, but for the most part they are set-up before the meeting and the meetings are just an excuse to finally make the transaction without having to make a special trip. That said, this one is at a fish store, so you never know what you're going to see and not be able to leave without. If you're looking for something in particular, post a thread and see if you get any bites.

I heard a rumor that one of fishdoc11's colonies (evil mels green mille?) was going to be fragged at the meeting. I also heard that in the past the club will buy a coral or two and frag them for members. Not sure whether either will occur this Sunday.
We'll see if Gary leaves us all in suspense :bounce2:

Regardless, with your membership there is a 10% discount at AC and who knows, they may offer some specials while we are there

Okay, enough suspense. Usually what we end up doing is we make sure there is one soft coral and one other type of coral (SPS or LPS) to make available since not everyone has the interest or conditions to keep SPS. That allows everyone to benefit from the fragging at the LFS meetings. These are the frags I was talking about that you might miss out on if you aren't a member. Since it looks like we'll be breaking up Chris' EvilMel mille, we may look for an LPS or softie for other who may not be interested in the sps frags. If there are enough frags to go around, everyone is welcome to one of each. However, we ask that people will take only one until everyone has at least one frag, then we can divie up the left overs. There will be other frags floating around (and likely some nice stuff in their tanks you might want to bring home, as Brian mentioned), but the loose frags are usually a prearrangement. I'll be bringing some that other have requested.

The Evil Mel mille is an Acropora. We'll look for some sort of softie, too, so maybe they'll have some nice zoas for us to cut to shreds.

Gary, I stopped in there and they did have some nice zoos in the tanks. some of those nifty mixed rocks they have been getting to boot. I really took a liking to a nice little green hammer they had. not too much in the way of acros though.
