2 weeks ago I got a 2 head piece of Prizm Favia and last night noticed a whitish necrotic area on one of the polyps outer skirt. Any thoughts on the problem. I tested the Cal-400 Alk-8.3 Mag-1300 No hair/brown/slime algae so I'm assuming Nitrate/Phos if low. Light is a new (3week) XM20k K se 250 The coral is on the bottom of my tank about 2.5' for the light the flow is low-med/low nothing is stinging it. I'm kinda worried cuz it's one of my best/favorite pieces.

More flow?

Too much light?

No enough light?

This is my 1st Prizm Favia I assumed it would be easy like my others but ??????

Thanks
Ed

I'll post pics when I getr home.

try med light instead of low, and maybe move to med flow. my prism favia is a fan of both. getting good growth on mine. :) mine benefits more from filter feeding that from eating frozen mysis etc.

That's what I suspected.

I'm going to move it up to halfway (12" from light) and try to find a spot w/ more flow.

Thanks!
Ed
