If you seriously "respected" that other people my have different opinions, you'd stop arguing with those that are giving you their opinions, and you wouldn't refer to them as "raping people for money."

IMO, most of the Strawberry Shortcake Acros, which is what this thread is about, have not been priced out of line. When people are paying $300.00 for a single Zoanthid polyp, or $2000.00 for a SLIVER of chalice, $90.00 for a 2" frag isn't too bad.

All this arguing about price is just silly, and will end up getting this thread closed, if it continues. If you like the coral, are willing to pay the price, and can afford it, buy it! If you don't like the price, DON'T buy it! How difficult is it to understand such a simple concept?

I think its called ATL raspberry limeade nasuta....

And I've had my shortcake for months now and fragged it 3 times as soon as I took it out of the bag..very Hardy IMO..

250g- yours looks very pastel, are u carbon dosing?

im not arguing with anyone i give my god loving freedom of speech opinion and they give theres im not singling anyone out nor am i singling one species of coral out i think their all over priced . im just saying the over priced corals are ridicules
and if they where more affordable then their would be more pep willing to buy them and keep this hobby alive instead of it killing itself.

According to the numbers of new online vendors, reef related forum new membership growth, and rate of new posts being posted on reef related forums, I'd say the hobby is alive and growing, at a fairly fast rate.

Let's try to keep this on the original topic, please. If you would like to discuss the pros and cons of coral pricing, please post in any of the other hundred or so threads on that topic.

Thanks,

T

I've had mine for a few weeks now, its still brown, has good PE and is encrusting. Anyone keeping this under T5s and if so where do you have it in your tank?

Starting the color up!

IMO it's not as rare as everyone thinks. I know of several LFS's that have recieved colonies from Aussie. Survival rates are a different story though...

Some one said, each month, there are only a few of them come in from Aussie.

At the rate I see these coming into the toronto area there must be A LOT more then a few coming a month. I keep wondering how many strawberry patches there are on the great barrier reef?

Long term keepers of this coral, how is the color holding up? Is it still as vibrant from when you first recieved it, or has it become dull? I got a 2" frag 3 months ago, it has grown nicely but has become really dull, losing most of the pink. All my other Aussie frags are colored up nicely, even better then first recieved. With that said, I can only conclude that the strawberry shortcake does not retain it colors well. Can people please share their personal experience with the colors of this coral?
