:uzi: My Ghost Skimmer is now making a loud rattle/gurgling noise. I took it apart and could not find any problems. I cannot enjoy being by the tank it is so loud!

I will wait a few more days to see if it goes away or flush $300 down the drain and get a Deltec MC500 or maybe the TUNZE 9011 with a Foam extraction unit:

Anyone else having a noise problem with the Ghost Skimmer?

I'm going to try to RMA this skimmer through the warranty. I'm curious to see how easy Innovative Marine is to work with.

:bounce3: Got a new skimmer through the warrenty. There was a defect in the impeller. Now the skimmer is quiet.

check out the JNS WS1 skimmer. its the in-sump version of the aquamaxx HOB. sicce 1.0 pump if if does the same as the = A.M. im gonna be happy just brought my SR-60 home and ordered the JNS for it rated for up to 90 gal

I really enjoy the ghost skimmer. It pulls a good amount and does it job. I have no complaints.

8.8.14 Update. I altered some rock work. My sps is starting to really pop in color. I have been on Red Sea NoPox for 2 months and the water quality looks clearer and the algae on the glass has diminished quite a bit.

My radion mounts came in. I saw them at MACNA last year and I have never been more excited for a random tank part. The tank has a clean look to it. The wires have been greatly reduced. The mounts seem sturdy and lock in nicely.

Yes that Haddoni is a monster. I saw a small blue one at ARC that I was thinking about picking up but they always seem so fragile.

With every build you always want to tweak it on the next build. I like the sr-120. I can easily get into the tank with the shallow footprint.

I am a fan of making your tank as automated as possible.

Apex is a must that controls the outlets, temp, ph, ato

I like the radions and the arms. It looks clean.

I am a fan of buying two heaters so If one dies the second one can keep up.

Buy a good skimmer. I like the ghost skimmer from innovative.

Overall it is a good tank. Rimless does have a higher daily maint compared to one with a cabinet over it since splashes and various things get out.
