Australia using sun shades to save the coral reef

garbage in the public school system or watching some politically driven debate about the "results are in" - Al Gore the imbecile who "invented the internet"

I agree with this statement.

This is the way I see it. We are taking carbon out of the ground that has been there for a long time, and putting it in the environment.

This will have an impact on the planet!

What will/is happen (ing) doesn't sound good. But we are not sure what exactly what will happen.

May I offer an analogy; There is ongoing debate in the reefing community about the effects of adding organic carbon sources to our reef tanks.

Some like it, and report no problems.
Others say not natural, and not a good idea.

The result is not clear yet. But there seems to be a limit on what can be done.
I think that the same is true for the planet carbon cycle.

So does it matter that we can continue business as usual for another 10 years vs 200 years?

What are we doing?

Teaching kids and learning about ecosystems is of more benefit to us than arguing about what Al Gore thinks IMO.

we are going to debate how much humans are contributing to global warming before it's too late. the fact is global warming is real. who cares why? we should be doing everything we can to minimize our impact no matter how much we contribute.

the only reason anyone debates it is because they want an excuse to prolong their conscientiousness and good stewardship of our environment. it's pathetic. we shouldn't need a reason to take care of our environment. our earth is falling apart and all we can do is sit around and argue why it's happening. why not make a consorted effort to do some good instead of playing sides? as long as we are focused on opposing one another our earth will continue to fall apart, regardless of what causes it.

i doubt the earth cares why it's being destroyed.
