Australian Harlequin Tuskfish

I am currently setting up a 3ft x 2ft x 2ft reef tank and would really like a Harlequin tusk as my main fish. I can get one from my lfs at about 4 inches and they have told me unlike a tang this fish isn't a really active swimmer. Do you think my tank is big enough?

Not what I wanted to hear but wont keep a fish cramped up. Any other suggestions of something vibrant and unusual that could fit this tank and be a good show fish? even if it is on the expensive side.

No, I think it will need more space as it ages.
+1, They get pretty big, and also can get pretty aggressive (as far as eating). So chances are you need to house it with other fish of comparable size. The 3X2X2 is not large enough for the tuskfish let alone adding others.

What other fish do you have? Is it going to be a reef?

Hi pal. Yes I currently have an old red sea max which I've had for 5 years with my 2 trusty percs(mated pair) and coral beauty.
I have had a custom tank and cabinet built with 20 gallon sump. I think in total water volume is 100 gallon. I bought a maxspect razor 160 light. Was going to buy the smaller gyre when it comes out. So really the 3 fish I have. One sand sifting fish and one fancy show fish is what I'm looking for. Once it's mature hard corals.
