Australian SPS

A little Aussie gem I got coming in today. Fingers crossed about the weather. 40's here in SF Bay Area and it can't be any warmer between here and Wisconsin.

I didn't want to sound rude to them. But, we all know they photoshop the pictures. If we bring this thread to them, maybe something will change. I'm not a noob, the piece I got might never turn out to be the same as the DD's picture. Maybe they should say "picture is for reference only" lol.

Most places that sell corals online do some color correcting, as anyone with a simple point and shoot camera knows, it is very hard to capture true colors without some adjusting due to the heavy blue lights used over most tanks. I can tell you, that I have been to the Liveaquaria facility in Rhinelander, and they get some of the best corals out there. I would give your coral some time to color up, and if you are not happy, contact them and they will make sure you are taken care of. They have, hands down, the best customer service in the industry.

Here are some Aussie frags I got from them a few weeks ago.

Hey spstoner. Were those from their aquacultured section of DD or maricultured? The red tip is sweet!

I got a few colonies from DD. I can't say the colors are identical but they're close enough, and before I bought them I knew they were not that blue/pink/gree etc. I'll have to admit though their colors are a lot better than some other online vendors that I bought colonies from.....and they stay healthy too. Thumbs up for DD.

These true Millepora from Australia are my favorite Acropora so far. Back in the days I was getting Prostrata's from Indo thinking they were Milli's.
:lmao:

Some differentAcropora species came in last night that I'm sure will hit the net within the next couple of days.

You really have to read the description, even though the picture shows it to be blue or purple, the description will usualy say green unless its really blue or purple. lol. Either way, they usualy color up nicely given time.

oh man...and I thought I was done buying aussie colonies. :D

Share pics...and any info on where they'll be popping up!

In my area Toronto Canada. Sps corals from Aussie are the biggest thing right now. Prices start at $100.00 and up :fun4:
