Australian SPS

I refreshed and it was there ....... But the cash in my acct was not! I saved the pic and started calling my buddies that always have $ but no one answered. Sad day.

Booooo..can't believe I missed your call...I gotta 1" inch frag of Copps' turquoise Hoek if u interested, color is very similar...

Thanks. Hope it retains that nice color and I can keep it alive.

I hope the wild hoek is not like John's turquoise. I cannot get that thing to survive in my tank. :mad2: but I think it's because I had a mini crash over the summer and the water parameters were not stable.

yea mine sat there as a one inch nub for almost a year and then as soon as i dosed sponge power a month later it grew another inch and threw off a few branches and its been growing steady since...

That is definitely an Echinata and they come from the North West of Western Australia
(about 600 miles from home)and Queensland.

The one with the fluoro blue coralites and red polyps is awesome, but not common
even here in Aus.

They cost about $50aus for a good specimen.

you guys must be talking about this one...

This is NOT A. enchinata. This is A. hoeksemai. Both are special species!

Ian, i think there was a bit too much confusion here. I was replying to Stormtrooper, but then there were two different conversations...

You can have it, but you will have to travel north of the border.
