Australian SPS

Man..ive been looking for a blue hoki for sometime any body seen it..have a nice purple..but the blue is a must have...Atlantis.net is always out of their ocean blue:sad1:

Blue hoki? I thought those are from Indo? I didn't know they were Aussi, I see them a lot at the LFS.

Anyways, from my experience they grow very slow and aren't hardy at all.

We also got Aussie SPS in Vancouver, BC as well. The prices up here were around 100-130 for a colony. But they mostly arrived brown, I picked one up anyway just to see what it will do.

Vlad is your site up yet?

I was kind of surprised to see the Hoek labeled as Aussie as well. But i guess Hoeks could be thriving at place we do not know of yet.

Atomikk that is a sweet piece. What's the id on that acro?

A. hoeksemai, not a hardy species at all. In fact, the person I got this from says that no one was able to keep it successfully. It would grow and die. So I am really happy with its progress.

Hey Atomikk. I was actually referring to your first pic. The light blue/turquoise piece. That's a beaut!

Fedex was late with my package, so I think the coral was roasting a bit in southern cali weather. Hopefully the piece survives.

I have a frag of the Atl. ocean blue hoek. It was obtained from a guy in the bay area. Pretty nice but slow grower.

I agree they can be very challenging.

Thats too bad.

The first piece is the A. enchinata, blue hued. Its either very similar, or is the same one from DD.

I recently got this in a shipment.

awsome man. let me know how the color is when you get in. Mine's def not as blue as pictured..but i'm not surprised at that.

Some sick Aussie corals from LA. I have more posted on my blog.

Yeah, I'm not surprised either that it didn't come in fully turq blue like the pic. Still excited to see what it really looks like though. I'll try to snap a picture once I get it.
