Australian SPS

Erik, did the color look just like the picture when the piece arrived or did it brown out a little?

I have pieces that looked cool on their website, but arrived no where near as blue as the pics.

The colors are a bit more subdued but still all 100% blue. Pretty good considering the stress of transport.

Yeah, I have requested more heat pack to keep the water warmer since I live in the pacific northwest. Colder temperature=more chance of coral browining from my experience.

Thanks for your reply and help. I was just wondering if other had similar experience with their corals from shipment, that's all. (Since it makes no sense to me why those exact same corals are transhipped to the suppliers and it looks great, but it gets shipped to my house and it's not the same?)

The one that got away. SNAPS! Anyone here buy it or know who did??

It should color up more. Also, I took a frag and look under the sun light. It has a yellow base tone. However, you can't see it from the pictures or in the tank as much. But, It is one of the nicest piece in my tank. I was able to get about 8 frags due to the shipping damage.

my echinata didn't come from LA, but it's doing well so far. please forgive my lack of picture skills, i'm still getting used to the new 30" wide tank . It's about a 3" colony, perfect size. has anyone had one long enough to tell the growth rate?
