Australomussa growing off rock

I've had an australomusssa that I got from the diver's den for about 6 months. Its a fast grower and has reached the edge of the rock that it came on. I've always had it placed on the sand and am wondering if I need to put it on a new rock to grow, or whether the skeleton will just grow out beyond the rock its already on?

It will keep growing beyond the rock mine isn't even on a rock also im no australomussa expert but from the pics i have seen they will grow like a chalice some will make a plating form while others will grow to form what ever they are on so if it is in the sand i will just grow over the sand.

wow...thats cool...I didn't know they could grow that quickly. seemed like a much slower growing coral to me.
