1 1/2" bulkheads,

UPDATE!!!

RO/DI Came in last night, hooked everything up today, heres a few shots,

QUESTION: Am I supposed to get a little trickle of the clean water? Or is it actually supposed to flow pretty good, because I'm getting a very little stream, and my waste water is about 3 times the flow, ? I'm at about 50psi for pressure, anyway heres the pics,

The pvc pictures that runs down from the unit, is ran across the floor to a floor drain for the waste water, works out kind of handy, (forgot to include that)

I have the same RO/DI. It is a little bit more (not much) than 3 to 1.

Your project looks great...looking forawrd to more pictures!

Great job!

Looks pretty good. ONe comment... You want to avoid using any kind of metals in the stream from your DI to your trash can. It looks like your RODI water goes to a copper rod then a brass valve.

The purity of water you are producing is most likely to be effected by this. As you can see, producing 100 gallons per day is slow, about a cup per minute. If you are lucky, at 50 psi you probably closer to 1 cup per 2 minutes.

Good luck!

thanks, yea I did realize that when we did it however its such a short copper pipe, will it effect it really bad? i figure run about 10 gallons through it first then id be ok? or is this a no no ???? its a little late now but if its a huge deal I guess I can redo it,

also, deep blue, have u ever tds metered ur water after it goes through ur ro/di im wondering how this works, or do u have pics of ur tank using this ro/di, curious because i got mine fairly cheap, wondering how long uve used it etc etc.

also the menards can is supposed to be my reservoir after i fill the tank and sump, i want to get some sort of auto top off , but ive never used a top off so im unsure of how to do one still =/

My water from the tap is 274. When it turns to RO/DI it's 0. I also have very strong pressure, about 98 psi.

I ahve that same water general unit. I had it running for about a year, and then bought replacement filters and a TDS testing unit to see where im at. My DI was old, but once I re-filled my DI unit with new resin, my TDS went to 0. After the first little while the RO/DI will produce water a little faster. I now get about 5 gallons in 4 hours or so... I don't know what my water pressure is, but with my 30 gallon tank, about 1 gallon per hour I don't mind... The line going into my RO/DI reads around 278-284, and then once it exits, it reads 0 TDS.

I would DEFINITELY get rid of the copper and brass after your DI. Why not just use the small blue tube with the small plastic valve?? Its what I use... The size of the tubing isn't going to decrease the output of the unit...

Nice setup. I would like to offer a little advice about your RO/DI unit. I would take out the horizontal DI filters and put the add on vertical DI filters. They seem to fully exhaust rather quickly. Just a suggestion.

Thats what I ended up going with. I bought the coralife add on DI unit. I thinks thats what its called... Works very well!

You can pretty much get one here, I think there is one for sale in the drygoods forum. Also you can look at the Filter guys, airwater&ice. Both venders are sponsors on here. I upgraded mine and it works a whole lot better. Before I had to change the DI resin after a couple months which was about 60gallons of actual filter water
