Auto top off question. How does this work?

I have a RODI system with an Auto Shut off Valve like the one in the link below.
ATOV

From what I understand I need a float valve in order for this apparatus to work properly.

How does this thing work? Does the "float Valve" close and put pressure on the ASOV and causes the RODI unit to turn its self off?

Then there is no waste flow as well?

I would say (think so), but you should ask the filter guys.
