Auto top off stuff

This is the website that sells the top off kit that comes with everything needed for a basic top off set up except the pump, the hose, and the extension cord. http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merc...Product_Code=AH-PREM-ATO&Category_Code=Dosers .
They also sell the float switches individually here http://www.aquahub.com/store/floatswitches.html I bought the i-float switches for $6.49.
You can also buy float switches locally at Grainger but they are a little more expensive. The ralays and power supplies can be picked up at most electronics stores like Radioshack or Sesco or Electronics Supply. The relay just needs to be double pole double throw with a 12VDC coil and rated to switch 120VAC at whatever amperage you need. Most small pumps draw less than 1.5 amps.
This is the link that has the instructions for the ATO Kit http://www.aquahub.com/store/diygaquarium.html . It is very simplyfied but if anyone has any questions just let me know.

I missed this in my earlier post but at the bottom of the page in the last link they sell all the pieces individually if you need replacements and can't find them locally.

Charleston to Huntington. Grainger is in North Charleston, Sesco is in Dunbar, Electronic Supply is in Huntington and I've seen RadioShacks in places that would surprise you. As for local float switches plumbing supply stores that sell to mine companies might have them just check around.

I am sorry I missed your demo! I was looking forward to seeing it. I have needed a ATO unit for some time! thanks for teaching the demo and sharing your knowledge with us all!

I've been shocked enough I can probably follow your instructions!I'll wait a while before I add electrician to my many lists of talents.
