Auto Top Off

I have the more simple auto top off on my 30 gallon nano. It has been working fine. Lately, it will not work unless I unplug the unit and plug it back in. Then the top off will fill the overflow and stop. It doesn't work unless I do this every time. Any ideas? Thanks

Probably the evaporation rate has increased and the dosing time was never adjusted. By default the unit shuts off the pump after 1.8 minutes as a safety, this can be extended to 3 and the manual suggests that this must be done on an aquarium larger than 26 gallons. I believe this is covered on pages 21-26.
