Auto Top Off?

OK , now that I have been back in the hobby for a few months...I forgot how much of a pain in the but it is to top off the water daily :(. So I want to know what you guys use to to top off your tanks. I hate coming home everyday to micro-bubbles all in my tank. Anyone have suggestions or pics of what you are using equip etc.... would really appreciate it.

Thank you,
Scott

I use a system from top-off.com. I use the mini. Great price...plug n play for the most part. Haven't had any issues with it at all.

I have one tank on the top-off.com system and another on the fancier (i.e., more expensive) ATO system. I've had fewer issues with the top-off.com setup.

plus they also sell solinoids to run topoff systems for multiple systems off of a single pump. (I use one maxi-jet 1200 in a single reservoir to keep two (soon to be three) large tanks topped off. It also supplies purified water to a separate faucet for filling a pitcher for the other tanks not yet equipped. I fully expect to have all my tanks supported from that one maxi-jet as soon as time permits.

If you decide to go down the top-off.com route, let me know. I need to order one or possibly two more setups and I think they provided a quantitiy discount...

For under $50, I did a complete DIY 3 float switch system (2) float switches in the sump as primary and backup; & (1) for the reservoir tank to shut off the pump in case the reserve tank is too low. I built an enclosure for the 12v relay to include an outlet and a kill switch so I can easily disable the system when it's time to do water changes. Auqahub is the company I bought the pieces from and their installation links made this an easy DIY. I had a mag 3 pump to push the water far as the sump is some distance away; no other kit includes the pump anyhow. I also didn’t need snail guards, had ½ tubing to protect the float switches, and used scrap acrylic to build the switch holders. Hope the links help if you go the DIY route.
