That's cool, let me know when you want the money. Thank you for including the CORA group on this group buy.

No problem... I thought why not let others benefit from this.

verper I have you for 3 possibly 4 units please let me know when it is a final number.

icu2 I have you for 3 total.

CaveManNOhio you are in for one if you are sure... never heard a positive answer.

If this is all correct and confirmed we are at 20 or 21 units.

Once we hit 25 units I will work to set a closing date to have all orders in by. The builder of these would like 50% down to pay for parts and affirm our order. He also has about 2 hrs in each one for assembly so they will not be done right away. I think we are looking at the middle of next month for delivery. Would you guys prefer to just pay for half now and wait till they are ready to pay the rest or would you prefer to pay it all now and we will have a member (possibly me or maybe the treasurer) hold the second half until we go pick up the units and then just distribute them?

I think I would prefer to just pay half now and half later. If you guys feel it would be easier and would trust someone else with holding your money then you could pay in full .. i currently have a list started that has each screen name, how many units, paid or unpaid (everyone is unpaid as of now) and the real name to make it easier to track who is still owed one or hasn't paid.

One more thing... we have our choice of how long we want the timer circuit to run. It could be a range from 0-2 minutes all the way up to 0-9.5 minutes. I will probably be using a 3 GPH Aqualifter so 9 minutes sounds good to me but I wanted to give the members a say in this decision.

I'm placing a big order soon, so if anybody would like to input on this, please do so soon

The range if nothing changes will be 1.5 seconds to 9 minutes

Since they are adjustable I would think the widest range of adjustment possible would be best.

I would agree... I like the choice that the widest range gives you.

ironheads and cheelo, got you marked on the list. We are at 19 unless verper confirms the total for a few more.

Almost there!

We made the minimium number so the order is going to be placed so we can have them for the June meeting. Please get with Kevin (itzme) ASAP to get your deposit in so we can place the order. The deposit is $20. For those of you from Columbus area I will be at the meeting tomorrow and would appreciate if you could get your deposit to me then. I will bring the units to Columbus once they come in or we can ship them as well. Thanks for everyones help on this.

It would be great if we could have these for the 16th (which is the 3rd Friday) Also, a number of people said they could talk about how to set-up the unit, including the possibility of building an acrylic hanger for it. Does anyone have a recommendation for a pump? Maybe this could be the first group buy!

Technically the Auto Top-Off unit would be the first group buy but whose counting;)

I would recommend either Aqua Medic SP 3000 Dosing Pump or Aqua Lifter Vacuum Pump. The aqua lifter is roughly $10-11 and the aqua medic is in the $ 90 area

I dont see any problem with getting them ready by the next meeting.

The range is locked in at 1.8 Seconds to 551.8 seconds (9.2Mins)

The only possible delay is with the float switch manufacturer, he has not given me lead time yet, but in the past he's been quick.

I am using a maxi jet 600 with a valve to reduce the out put on my system now and it works good for me

Well it seems that we have most of the details worked out now. I think we need to make a cutoff date for placing orders so this doesn't drag on too long. The list I have right now is 24 units. There was mention of purchasing one or two units by Larry Summers and also by Erik. If you guys or anyone else would like one please verify your purchase before next Sunday the 28th. We will have a definite number for the order at that time and that will hopefully allow Jeremy (cdaw) enough time to get them built for us in time for the next meeting.

Jeff (ironheads) has mentioned that he might be able to get some acrylic strips cut for mounting brackets that we could DIY at the meeting also. I will bring a heat gun, some plastic wire ties and a drill for mounting the switches.

Should I bring in a 10g tank and a pump to explain how these are going to work for those who have no idea what to do with it?

If you would like to send a check or money order to prepay for your ATO unit her is the address to use:

Paul Pfingsten
634 Augdon Drive
Elyria, Ohio 44035

Please enclose a short note to specify what the payment is for (ATO group buy) and include your name and RC name to help keep the list nice and neat.

If it is OK with Jeremy (cdaw) I would like to put the closing date on orders as Next Sunday the 28th. But we will try to get the check for the first 25 units to him ASAP to let him get started on them and then finalize the order on Monday the 29th.

NEEDMONEYFORMORESALT and kreeger1 I have you each down for 1 unit.

Paypal

Paypal

Guess I have some catching up to do as soon as I return, in the mean time please DO NOT SEND THIS MONEY VIA PAYPAL! I do not know what was discussed at the meeting but we seem to have difficulty getting Paypal funds into our account.

Thanks much!
