Automatic feeder?

I have an Eheim automatic feeder that can feed several times per day. I prefer several small feedings as opposed to 1 large feeding a day. Anyways, now that i have this controller i would like to integrate the feeder with the AC3 so that whenever it feeds, the AC3 shuts off all the necessary pumps, then after 10 minutes, it kicks back on again automatically. Is this possible to turn on the feed program based on time?

Another problem i can see happening is the feeder not syncing up with the timer on the controller. If programming the feed mode to turn on is possible, is there a feeder out there that can be turned on/off manually via the AC3?

Man, i cannot believe this didn't pop up when i did my search! This is perfect! I did a search for "automatic feeder" and nothing came up. I did it again just now, and only this thread pops up.

Thanks!

Most likely the new index isn't finished of the neptune forum and that's why it doesn't show up. The only reason I could find them is that I was subscribed... :)

On their web site they show it with a timer. If I used this without a controller, does the feed stay on for the length that the timer is on? I mean if I took the feeder and plugged it into the wall without a timer or controller would it just run until I unplug it? I don't have a controller now but I plan on getting one of some kind.

I use a Super Feeder also. And it wasn't easy to find them:) Most of their units are for outdoor uses: ducks, koi,

You set the length of time the feeder runs on the feeder itself using an adjustment screw. (You can also control the rate at which it ejects food using a separate knob.)

When the timer (or AC III) just turns on the power to the Super Feeder, it then executes exactly one feed cycle and stops.

It won't feed again until it's power is turned off and back on again.

Works great, and a really solid piece of equipment. Just the thing for use with a controller. If only it did frozen food...
