Is anyone using the ATO.com single float unit?? If so how do you like it, and is it a good one to buy??? I plant on using an Aqua lifter pump with one.
i use the dual one from them, have had it for over 5 years and it hasn't failed once. but i would suggest the dual one just for the fact if it ever does fail.
I have the double float ato. within one week, the forst float failed. not sure why, but backup float worked and saved me. I cleaned it up and it hasn't happened again in over a year. probably just a fluke. Be careful with just 1 float though.
anyone use the pump they sell on their site? It's only 8.50 I think. Would it be strong enough to pump from a 5 gallon bucket about 3 feet away from the sump?

Never used their pump, but the weakest pump in the hobby would work perfectly fine as you need hardly anything. The Aqualifter pumps by TomTom seem to be most popular for this use and retail for something like $12.
Depends on how you set it up, but you should use low voltage. You can get a package from them that includes a relay set up to do what you need and it isn't too expensive.
i have the dual float controller on my tank and it works perfectly. and i believe it is only 12v because selling a product that runs high voltage near water would not be good. plus the people on here would have crucified anyone for that same mistake.
I'm glad I waited to get an ATO, as I didn't know about this particular product. I'll probably buy the double float switch and plug into my future Neptune Apex controller.
