Anyone used these guys to make diy Ato units? The price is right, but I am afraid of flooding my house. Is the float switch any good/ reliable?

by using this you wouldn't need for a diy ato, because its a complete system by itself. i use it and its awesome, i don't have to ever worry about topping off my tank and it has a fail safe float too.

i bought their solenoid to dose some stuff but haven't gotten around to install it yet.

solid product and decently priced compared to others out there, just my opinion though.

I have used their product for years now, can't beat the quality and price. Just be sure to get the double float switch for a fail safe, it will happen eventually with salt, etc..

I have a double float set up from them. I bought it used so I have no idea how old it is. I've been using it for 3 years now with only one issue. Aparently something shorted inside the box and it had to be repaired by my LFS. I was out of town when it happened, so my wife handled it. The store only charged something like $5-10 for the repair, so it couldn't have been serious. It wasn't a float switch failure, but that's all I know.

I'd buy another one for another tank.

I too got their sump-mounted double float system (with snail guard), connected to my Apex. Has worked well for myself and many others before me who made the recommendation.

I have a quad float system from them (four float switches wired to one controll box). I bought the dual sump ATO and just added two more switches to the order. They are about 6 years old and going strong. In addition, I upgraded to the 12v system instead of the 120v.

Same here. Been using them for years. Just purchased another dual float setup for my second tank. They are top notch.

Get the low voltage option.

+2, I'm using the aqua lifter and my buddies are using it too. The aqua lifter is about $20 I believe.

I used one of my 5 gallon containers that I use to transport water and just stick a tube in there. You can even use one of those home depot buckets. The lifter is pretty strong for a little thing and will ensure you won't have a flood.

Awesome! I was starting to have doubts about getting their ATO and considering TUNZE ($200)... But I'm looking for anyone who has had a bad experience with Autotopoff.com and havn't found it yet.
