Awesome discovery. New Fish Found

scroll down to see what makes me drooooool... The video of one of the pioneers of fish and truly a guy that should be put into the fish hall of fame. Mr Pyle.

Any idea why they even collected the bellus angels? Was it a previously unknown location for those fish?

That new damsel from Palau is nice and all- but did you see the other fish in the collection cup?? I had no idea C. abei was found as far out as Palau; makes you wonder how wide spread they really might be. And yeah, I didnt really understand the excitement over the bellus either, but then again Ive never caught anything more exciting than a Pumpkinseed from a stocked pond; Id probably be happy too.. lol

All the fish collected are from Micronesia as this is where the TV show is filmed, the TV show is shown at the moment in the UK on BBC1 Sunday's At 8pm BST . The programme if anyone is interested is called Deep Abyss.

Here is a link to where you can watch it. In Full.

The Bellus Angels were collected on a small island on the east of micronesia.

that is pretty old. The reason for the Bellus was to document their reach and depth. That hog (or wrasse?) is sweet! the fish are preserved for scientific research.

the other diver is Brian green who use to collect in the marshalls and had the earlei and johnsoni fairies.

Brian moved to a little island in the pacific (not to sure which one) with his girlfriend/wife(?) I dont think he will be collecting anytime soon. Im trying to get someone over in Kwajelin to collect deep water but it is a difficult thing to do. haha
