How quiet is the AquaFX booster pump?

Booster pumps do have a hum/buzz when operating. It is definitely not something we would call loud, but is not silent. We would say the noise is comparable to a medium/large size air pump. The 3 booster pumps we offer (SpectraPure, AquaticLife and AquaFX) all have similar noise levels.
