Awesome Waterloo Tour

Had a great time today. I saw some great tanks, and each had its own individual thing that was awesome. Special thanks to Got2lb & his wife for letting us invade his home for the night. I believe we were able to recruit a new member (The Gnome). He has a nice tank started. A very very successful event, I even scored a blue tort from Glaspie. Of course Waverz won the best frag of the raffle as usual. I cant wait until the next event!

Thanks everyone for the great tour! It was awesome! We managed to cram 7 tanks into the tour. Ending up at my place for some burgers. And a little frag raffle. And everyone stumbling out the door about 10:45.

I hope everyone had as good a time as I did. It's always nice to have a good turnout. Def. have to do this again soon!

I don't know if I would consider it the best frag of the raffle. The zoos I got were pretty sweet I think!

Thanks again everyone for coming and if you ever want to swing up and check out the tank or have questions just ask.

I forgot to take any pictures, so when our dedicated photographer sobers up tomorrow (waverz) maybe he'll post some pictures. :D

I saw some good lookin tanks here in DSM. JJ and Terry's tanks had great color. Tibb's tank had a great lookin whiteface tang. Brad's tank was unbelievable. We just had a very poor turnout. Maybe we will have to do more in IC or Waterloo area's if that's where the action is.

Can't wait to see pics of the Waterloo tour.

LOL ....we decided to sell them to the other areas as post cards....raise a'lil extra money....gotta pay for the beer somehow

On another note Thanks to everyone for comming out and supporting this tank tour it means alot to the club and our area to show other reef keepers that we are serious not only about the club but in each other as a group.....we did raise $90 bucks with our raffle....what to do with it we be decided later when the beer wears off.....A HUGE thanks to everyone for opening your houses and letting us tromp through them, for all the donations for the raffle, the food, plates and such, Matt and his wife host the cookout at there house....I think this is a big step for our area and I hope we can keep up the enthusiasm

Melissa and I had a great time even though we did not get home until after 1:00 am. bought 2 corals won 2 corals and donated a couple mushrooms to the raffle.(xroad let me know how they do) all in all we had a blast. AND NO VEGGIE BURGERS. LOL

I did give a glass blowing demo though and alot of ppl thought that was pretty cool. We didnt make the UNI tank cause we simply ran out of time so next stop Rays month old 125, hes off to a great start.

Just kidding i found all this stuff on the side of the road, there was a sign that said it was free so we took it. Guess what, everything works, even that vintage ghetto blaster, time to break out my old too $hort tapes!!!

AWESOME TANK TOUR!!! CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN!!!!

Nice pictures man! Looks like you got a pretty good score on the side of the road! :D

I know there were others taken pics so lets see them!

We'll def. have to do this again soon. Hopefully I'll have some new lights by the next one. If Jason would quit putting these evil ideas of MH in my head it would be a lot easier! ;)

Well I didn't take any pics of the tour but the stuff I got is all opened up so here's some pics of it.

Here's a pic of some zoos that I won that Craig donated to the raffle. (glad I talked him into donating them) :D

Thanks for the awesome zoos guys they look great already!

Hey Jason I would love to see a pic of those eagle eyes under your MH to see what they look like! ;)

Nice! Thanks for being the backup picture guy lee!!
I wish we could have taken a group picture but oh well.

Was definetly one of the funnest GIRS events ive been too!

I had a blast going on the tour with the group ! It's a little bit different than a deathmetal music tour with Neutral Red ... but it was fun just the same. I learned a lot of new things and met some new people ... so it's a day worth remembering.

Thanks again !
