I don't know if anyone has seen the thread about champion lighting selling "Box O Crap".

I saw the outside of the AC II box and thought "yeah right" but once I opened it up. Sure enough.

Not bad for $10

This week I was just shopping for a Aquacontroller to upgrade my Reefkeeper

Only thing is I have to buy all the probes. I already have the PH probe but I will need to buy ORP, Temp and X10 modules. I think I might buy the serial port too.

I am working on getting my PH swing down really low and would love to be able to map my daily PH.

What are you doing to stabilize your PH? I have my fuge on an opp light schedule and also my skimmer pulls air from outside the house (less CO2). But my PH still varies quite a bit from day to night. I have an aqualifter pump that doses limewater when my PH goes below 8.2. That's the only way I've been able to keep the PH up overnight.

Nice score on the B-O-C by the way!!

Exact same thing your doing, I'm just settling for a lower PH. I don't use a chiller so fans have to cool my tank all day long, that gives me alot of evaporation.

I have fresh air pumped into the intake of my skimmer & run reverse photo period too.

With an alk of 10 dkh my tank during the day stays right at 8.0 but at night will sink down to 7.9 or 7.8 . I have my aqua lifter set up on a timer that only allows it to dose after the main lights are out and a double float switch that insures it wont overfill overnight. I route my kalk water through an airline valve that allows for a slow drip from lights out till close to lights on again and so far its keeping my PH swing down under .1

I'm hoping some data loging can give me a better picture of daily and weekly PH swings

Good luck!

For 10 bucks its fun to be expecting something unknown in the mail.

I had a blast.

Yeah, I'd bet some sponsors might have gotten a little fired up. And they would be right to do so. No pay no play.
