AZ FRAG DIY Liverock Demo August 10th

Time for another awesome demonstration brought to you by AZ FRAG. This month we will show you some techniques to mix and build you own liverock for your reef aquarium, as well as safe ways to handle and use it. There will be a raffle sponsored by Real Reef, who has mastered the production of artificial rock and promote reef aquarium sustainability. The raffle will be at the end of the meeting, and tickets will be available at the meeting for $1 each or 6 for $5.

I am going to try to keep it clean in there. In the past I have done these demos where everyone makes a piece, but I don't think Pranksters will like a bunch of boxes of sand and aragocrete rock laying around drying in the Jester's Room. So next best thing I can do is show you some of my recipes and how I go through the steps.

I have never used man made rock on a tank. I am interested in this due to the fact this rock is less likely to carry hitchikers into an aquarium. As well as you could really customize the rock if you like. Out of curiousity what is the cure time Jason?

It depend on how you cure it. Usually a month, but I can show everyone some short cuts to get it done faster.
