I have not been back to AZSB (only because it is far) since they first opened. They didnt have any stock at the time but Paul was nice enough to me. Glad to see that someone is working hard to make that store work regardless of past situations. I sent an email asking if they would be kind enough to donate anything for FRAG-O-WEEN and I had a response within the hour with 2 $25.00 gift cards! Very cool. I definatly need to make it all the way over there again and check it out.

so does this mean that 'paul' is still (one of) the 'owners' ???

DH is on their mailing list and received an e-mail stating that Paul was no longer affiliated in any way with AZ Seabottom. I really hope we don't start rehashing the whole Paul thing again like we did a few weeks ago....

Whoa! Hang on a second; I wasn't even replying to your particular post. There was no need to be so defensive.
FWIW--Never had a problem with anyone at AZSB before. Am excited to see the changes now.

personally am 'glad' to hear
they are getting things turned around (and RID of bad 'elements')... it would be nice for the local reefing/marine community for a 'super' store like this to be around... there is no reason why (under GOOD MGMT) this store cant be up there w/ AQUA TOUCH in terms of service(as good as it gets anyway w/ a lfs), selection, education, respect etc ETC w/ reefers in this area (iow imo atleast AT seems to be one of the longer lasting and most popular stores around for a 'variety' of reasons and there is no reason why azsb cant get there TOO)...
they have a long way to go
and got off on the wrong foot (w/ many)... but hopefully can get steered in the right direction and keep things running smoothly!... and it looks like thats where they are headed.
until i know (for SURE) that Paul is gone
and in (((no way))) part of the (((ownership))) any longer... then will CERTAINLY go back and start shopping there again (fwiw).
whether he is still the owner or not atleast its under new mgmt for everyone involved!

Paul is no longer affiliated with the store (100% guaranteed). I talked to the only owner (another former frag member) last Saturday and he confirmed this.

These threads all seem to start off with good intentions then people just have to start talking about "the old owner". Haven't we been told a few times now to move on from "him" since he is not here to defend himself????? Why do we keep going back here??? Maybe the people interested in talking about the old owner should go to the forum created for this "type" of discussion. JAT 
It has been requested that this thread be removed since it has accomplished little other than to foster "badwill". I am hesitant to remove threads, so we will let this one die a natural death. I encourage everyone to try to be a little less emotional when discussing various LFS. Always keep in mind that your comment can affect a person's livelihood.
