B ionic vs. BRS 2 part. Which and why?

I use BIonic. I have it on auto dosing pumps so I never have to think about it. Just test every couple days and change the timer as needed.

I use kalk now but started with b-ionic. The BRS shipping kills any savings for me. I get both gals of b-ionic for $30. Just got into kalk recently and it's working great. Haven't really had to fiddle with it at all and it stays rock solid for the two weeks I've been using it. I'm in love :-) with the ease of use and the price is crazy cheap. In the future if I have to supplement I will just use the b-ionic.

See I can't even get one 32 oz bottle of either for 30 bucks. My lfs marks stuff up like crazy. I wish I could buy stuff locally for good prices

Well I really need to get this package, my alk consumption has skyrocketed. I did a water change last night and as of this evening my alk is 6/6.5 dkh! Yikes

If you're having trouble getting the alkalinity part to dissolve, try heating it up. I've even gone so far as letting the jug sit in a bath of really hot water. Once it is warmed it usually goes a lot easier.

I've never had problems mixing them and considering they last indefinitely a few 5 gallon buckets can make the whole process a very rare occurrence.

My first post on rc! Anyway, what do u guys think about seachem's reef fusion? I ran out of my brightwell code a/b and was wondering if i should try something new that might be a little most cost effective in the long run. Also, my two tanks top off from the same bucket, so i don't think using kalk is much of an option here.

According to the data that I say, the SeaChem is about 1.67 times as concentrated as the Brightwell. So from there, you need to compare the cost to you. I'd try whichever one was cheaper, personally. :) That seems to be the SeaChem.

Well got my stuff today and I must say the mag and alk didn't want to mix easily but I got it done. Starting tomorrow I'm going to get my numbers in line and start dosing. What numbers do you guys think I should shoot for? I was thinking 420 cal, 10dkh, and 1350 mag
