I call mine a true perc. He isn't an Onyx. Some people would call them semi-onyx. But to me it's either an Onyx or a true perc

Thanks for the compliments. I've had these guys for about 5 years now. They lay eggs about every 2 weeks. I have never raised the babies, maybe one day but it seems like a lot of work!

I read this thread and came home to my Blackfoot (nigripes) clowns cleaning a rock. They've never spawned before but I hope they are up to the task.

Thats what it looks like nemmy. Keep a close eye on them, I wouldn't be surprised if you see eggs within a day or two. My female gets super fat before she lays, but if yours haven't laid before she may not have too many eggs just yet.
