Baby clown story w/pics.

Hello all. Being located near the Sacramento area, I thought I might ask for some input within this forum in regards to my dilemma. I have an orange skunk clown pair that began spawning in my tank back in August of last year. (See pic of eggs & father fish below)

Since I already grow rotifers and brine for my reef tank I decided to try to collect & raise the fry. On my third try I was more successful than I had planned to be. Here are the almost 1 inch long fish as of current.

More than just trying to sell them to a local pet store (which may expose them to ich etc.) I'd like to find them good homes. I realize that orange skunks are not the most popular clowns which may make the situation more difficult. I estimate that these guys will be 1-2 inches in a few months. Despite all the work it took to raise them I'd give them away for free if I knew they were being cared for by responsible dedicated aquarists. Any suggestions.....think MARS might be interested?

Thanks for the responses! I just want to warn those that are interested that it may be several months before these guys are at a size that would minimize the chance that they could get stuck in filters etc. (their growth has slowed down as they get bigger). So far they still school together and fighting is at a minimum. I know how the situation in one's tank can change a lot over time so I'll post back here when I'm ready to send them off. Right now they are eating finely chopped frozen mysis, cyclopeeze, and dry foods. In the meantime buy aquacultured livestock as much as possible!

I like your creative artwork--my avatar is also a watercolor picture I did (-inspired by my tank of course). It's good to see another art lover amongst the fish fanatics!

Horible timing, thats too bad, this is my favorite of the clowns and been wanting one for quite some time. The pink skunk often gets confused for this variety and gets shipped labeled as one or the other. Unfortunatly I found one a couple of weeks ago. Great fish!!

I have always wanted an orange skunk pair and would love to get two from you. Whenever they are ready. I love the shot of all the babies, very cute!

Love the shot! That's great that you were able to hatch them. Yeah, I'd love to take a pair when you're ready.
