Baby Conchs

I have had some baby snails running around in my frag tank lately...but this morning I took a better look at two of them on the glass and realized these two were conchs...one is about 1/4" long and the other about 3/8"...can see the two little eye stalks peering out and the long snout out eating...

sort of surprised...eggs must have been hitch hikers on some Cheato I traded or something...never had a conch in my frag tank...

cool none the less...wonder if I will be getting any more?

sweet find. I bought one from someone and put it in my tank. it is doing a great job on the sand as far as cleaning it up. he did bulldoze a couple of zoa frags though... oh well its a cool critter

well...I am up to 4 Conchs in the frag tank and another 3 or 4 in my HOB fuge that I am pretty sure are Conchs..although only about 1/8" long right now...

Hopefully some of them will survive...that would be sort of cool! Being stationed in the Keys once...I really like Conch fritters! DOH! :D

wonder how long before big enough to eat?! LOL!

OK, OK...I know...I am acting all giddy like a school girl...but I think this is cool...

anyway...can someone ID the type of conch from this picture?

this is the biggest one I have found...about 3/8" long...

that Is a portonana conch. they feed on mostly micro fauna and sps and soft corals

do not believe anything above in this post. once again I prove I have no idea what I'm talking about.
