Baby seahare?

I purchased a seahare a few months back to help with a nuisance algae problem. It ate 1/2 the algae, laid a mass of yellow spaghetti looking eggs, and then died. I had left the eggs in the tank even though I was told I should remove them as they were likely infertile since I was curious. They disappeared on their own after a few days and I thought nothing more of it.... until today.

this little guy is about the size of my pinky nail, is he a little seahare? Nothing else has been added to the tank (ie no new corals, rock, etc)

Thanks for any input! Algae is still around so I hope he's one and grows well, and has brothers & sisters LOL

Honestly, I can't tell from the pic but it looks like a cowrie to me with its skin pulld over its shell. I say that because it looks like theres a seam running down its back.

It was actually that seam/line that made me immediately think it was a baby seahare, not the very best photo to show it but attached is a photo of the "mother" seahare, she has a major seam down her back.

Yup, that's almost certainly a cowry. Next time you see him, poke him and make him withdraw his mantle. It will be a lot easier to ID him with his mantle withdrawn and the shell visible.

Cheers,

Don
