Yeah don't love solid tops, but that's not your problem here. This guy:

What does he look like color wise? Can you try taking a picture with the blues off, only whites?

At this point, I'm still thinking your lights are a tad too high, but let's see what that frog looks like

Will do, I'll get a pic later after I get home. What do you think of the other pics? Better, same? Like I said, seems like the tree, colt, clove polyps, montipora, and napthea don't look any different, or do you think they do?????

It looks like that trumpet is really bouncing back, its significantly fleshier than the first pics, which is definite improvement. Everything else is tough to tell because the color is tough, but generally looks on the right track

Do you know what the color of that frogspawn was when you bought it? Looks a little translucent to me, which may mean it was wicked stressed under the bright lights and needs time to recover.

All in all though, looks pretty good. May need to tick down the lights a couple more notches. Maybe turn the whites down only?

Ok, done! Can't go down much more now or they'll almost be off. How do you think the other stuff looks? I'm also discussing with another guy that my rocks may be a huge problem as well. They're old, and I don't think I cured them correctly when I got them. Does it look like we're making progress tho? I've been adding 5ml of randys alk buffer every 2 days. Seems to drop about 1.0 in 2 days. I think the frogspawn was about the same color when I got it, but that's was years ago tho, so I don't really know

Yeah it looks like a real reef tank now . Why are your rocks a problem, what is the phosphate?

I think it's time for a full testing, give us your numbers. Temp, sg, Alk, calc, mg, nitrate, po4 tanks making a turn hopefully.

I love kalk. Kalk turned my tank into a monster It really keeps things even and steady. There are a couple options, you can either start slow and build up or we can try and calculate how much you need to add. Either works.

since I don't have to add much water to it, and I'm using 1tsp per gal right now in the 90, could I just take it out of the 90gal ato? I'm probably only adding about a quart every couple days to the nano now that there's a top on it

Hmm, may need to take that top off if going to drop Kalk. I like screens better anyway. A quart every couple isn't going to cut it, the biggest benifit I find is constantly adding it throughout the day via the auto rather than a big bolus every once in a while. Keeps things stable.

I could re-vamp the top more open, but there's not an ato on the nano, just the 90. Any ideas, or diy nano ato for now?
