Bacteria bloom or somehting else?

In one on my tanks I recently have this white peach fuzz like substance taking over my live rock. It is not long or stringy. (reminds me of a white radioactive glow if that makes any sense)

This current tank has been up and running for a year this month. Params are good and coral and livestock are all healthy.

They only change that came recently was I finally made the switch to LED (AI's) from T5 HO and I changed salt mix to Red Sea Coral Pro...

I did not snap pics, but found a pic online that looks closest to it that is attached.

I've searched online all morning and cant really find a solid answer. A lot of dead ends and one suggestion of a bacteria bloom due to carbon dosing which I do not... Let me know what you think.

Any questions just ask. Thanks guys!

How old is the tank? If it's fairly new this is quite common IME. Sooner or later it will run it's course and disappear. GL.

Yeah, I've turned up the Vortech and opened the return valve more in regards to additional flow. (Never had an issue with flow/dead spots/ unhappy SPS's though...)

The tank in question is at 1 year this month. White sand, good coloration and coralline growth on rocks before this. (Still have that, but now the rock has this fuzzy white haze)

The fuzzy haze is NOT growing on the glass or equipment which I find odd...

Already been through the typical growing pains, but for the past 4 months the tank has been spot on up until recently. Parameters are all still golden.

I have multiple tanks varying from years to months in age, but never experienced anything like this before.

Like I said, the only change to the constant was switching to LED's and changing salt mix. However, my other LED lit tanks with the same salt mix have no issues. Same goes for my T5 lit tank.

Thanks for the link! Looks like it falls under the fungal and bacterial mats category.

I've added another mp10, increased return output and slowed down flow through the UV.

Also doing scheduled water changes of 5 gallons every 5 days.

Turned up the lights 10% as well and cut back on coral feeding. (Started using reef chili with added amino acids around the time of the bloom)

Still there, but it's not getting worse. Keep you posted.

Started up the reactors again. Carbon and GFO. Stuff is dissipating and only have a few small patches here and there.
