ok with all the new n\p biopellets and those of the like, i was wondering if these getting light to them change the growth or limit it as well, also wouldnt oxygen have an effect. other then the vodka in them, couldnt you just use a reactor filled with rubble rock ? btw i had asked this question in reguards to the n\p on that thread and didnt get a response.

The bio pellets is a solid carbon dosing that takes place primarily within a reactor. Vodka is a liquid carbon dosing in the water column.

If you had a reactor of rubble then you would have to feed it with the liquid dosing.

As far as light getting to them I haven't seen anything in the threads to indicate a problem. The only thing I've seen is Nextreef's new SMR1 reactor saying their blue color helps to deter algae growth, could be marketing.
