Bacterial infection????? HELP!!

i've haved my small Bannerfish for about 3 weeks now. it contracted a minor case of Ick when i first added it to the tank, it went away within a week with help from Rid-Ick. Now he has a large red spot behind his gills and doesn't move the fin on that side.

he still eats and moves around however much less.

4 days ago i added a tomato clown and long tentacle anemone could it have stung him??

i'm confused please help

Broad spectrum antibiotic in food is best if fish is eating, or remove to QT tank and can dose the water. I would try nitrofurazone or erythromycin. Good luck my friend!.

Your pictures are not clear enough to see the spot your talking about.

Rid ich is just about worthless and it is very doubtful that it had any impact on ich .. remember that ich naturally falls off the fish within a week which then falls to the bottom of the tank where it will hatch more ich.

Pretty common for ich to leave minor wounds in fish which can get infected ... in many cases the fish's own immune system will handle and it should not be a problem.

Good idea to QT all your fish and treat them with either hypo or copper ... that will insure the end of ich. Leave the show tank without fish for about 5 weeks and any ich within the show tank will naturally die off.
