Bad, Bad Blenny

I noticed my normally shy, reclusive lawnmower blenny nipping at my new crocea's mantle. I just picked up the clam yesterday. I moved the crocea to a higher rock where I have never seen the blenny venture. Anyone else have any ideas on how to stop this behavior?

I did not notice the lawnmower blenny on the list of clam-un-friendly fish.

TIA,

Mike

My bi-color nips at my crocea all the time.. I have noticed that when I feed him algae sheets every other day, he seems to let the clam alone. Till he gets hungry again.. They graze on algae, so its really not the blenny's fault. He thinks the clam is a piece of plant algae and is testing it.. It hasn't hurt mine.. But I get steaming mad when I see it happen. So I know what you are goind thru.. My clam doesn't come completly out since the blenny started nippin' at it.. So its a no win situation... But lately my crocea has been opened up alot more than before.. So maybe thats a sign? Who knows...

Good luck..
Spankey..

Spankey,

Thanks for the info. If the blenny keeps this behavior up, he definitely won't be making the move to the 120 when I get the plumbing finished.
