Josh, reef 2 reef.com has some really good zoa keepers that have seen just about every pest under the zoa sun. Iodine dips work on a good number of the guys but not all. I have been really lucky in not getting anything worse than the red bugs. A pic or good verbal of what the critters look like will be a must
I don't have a camerra good enough to get pics, but they look like a typical copepod just knawin on my zoa's! It's not a spider or a nudibranch i can tell that much.
Are you sure that they are eating your zoas or are they grooming the surroundings of the zoa. Are they new frags? Whenever I add a new frag plug with zoas on it..... That night the plugs are covered with amphipods. They must like whatever is on the plug.
That happened to me several years back. I thought they were eating them but actually they were eating the dead stuff or things around them. After about a week of the certain colonies being totally closed.... they opened back up once the waste around them were cleaned up. I hope that is the case with yours.
