I know my tds will hit 1000 in the summer but it never is this high so soon :/<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/user/briankmarsh1980/media/Snapbucket/AD2DF464-orig_zpsed6e7633.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc262/briankmarsh1980/Snapbucket/AD2DF464-orig_zpsed6e7633.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo AD2DF464-orig_zpsed6e7633.jpg"/></a>

wow, that made me run and check mine and it is still around 185. The copa is trying to kill you with water =P

So... because I haven't gone through a summer with my own rodi unit, your tds meter is showing the "out" reading?

Is there something I need to do or watch for during the hot summer months?

My in has not read any higher than 14, out is always 0.

same location as my ro unit..lol... Is that a booster pump on yours? what kinda pressures you get using it if so?

It is a booster.... it runs between 70-100 psi depending on the time of year.
The warmer the intake water the better it runs

I get to talk to people about their RO units from all over the US and I get people worried when they have a TDS of 200. LOL Mine is usually in the 700s, but 1000 is pretty crazy.

I live in a rural area in AZ and my TDS is about 225. But the pressure is solely dependent on gravity so I get about 38 PSI because I live close to the water tanks. I bought a booster pump an I set it to 80PSI, problem solved. :)

So I turned out to be an RODI dummy. I have been using the same filters that shipped with the unit a few years ago. I finally broke down today and replaced them all. Even added the max cap silica buster as one stage. I knew the filters were blocked and bad when I doubled my water pressure after changing them. Back to 80 psi. I upgraded to the spectra pure 99% rejection membrane and I'm making water 20% faster than before. Now on my schedule to change every 6 months. JP

TDS was at about 650 today.

It was in the mid 500's last month.

It usually gets to the mid to upper 700's by the middle of the summer. We'll see how things progress.

Still getting a good rejection rate (8 TDS on the output) on a Spectrapure RO membrane that's been in the unit for a long while. 650/8 equals a 98.8% rejection rate. Correct?
