BamBam Orange...are they really that orange?

I have always loved zoas, not as a collector but more for their ability to add unique colors to the aquarium. I have been looking at a few pics of the Bam Bam orange zoas and I am wondering if they actually have that bright orange color that so many photos show? I have a 65 gallon reef with 500 watts of MH and I also have Super Actinic bulbs over the tank.

Any other suggestion for zoas that have true color that a guest can enjoy? Not a "super rare morph" that people will need to squint to see but a color that is striking, one that will catch your attention when you walk up to the tank. For instance I have some really nice colonies that I think are alien eyes...not rare and not expensive ($45 for a 100 polyp colony) but very striking.

These are under T5s

I think you get a good bang for your buck from Eagle Eyes, BamBams, and Radioactive Dragon Eye. Keep in mind that there are also a lot of "no name" zoas that are very colorful and affordable!

tubbs blues are cheap around CT, and verry blue. also fruit loops are a bright zoa. and one of my favs is blue hornets.

Yes they are a legit bright orange. As all others have said watermelons, alien eyes, tubs blue, blondies, CAR's, EZ's, campfires

I guess it will depend on the light/zoanthid species you've got.
People show pictures online that aren't really what you eyes would see, depending on the lights you've got...

Grandis.

Like others said they vary greatly in appearance depending on what lighting you have. LEDs give the most pop for zoas IMO. +1 on the eagle eyes still one of my favorites.

Not the best pic but you can see how Orange the bam bams are in the middle of the tank. Fast growers in general as well.
