My bangaii cardinals are holding for the first time in many moons. I've never been able to collect fry from them as they are in a reef tank, and I've never seen them.
Its day 16, and I'm noticing that the males mouth appears to not be as "puffed out" as he was just a few days ago, and less than he was when they first spawned. However, he's acting like he's still holding, and I swear I got a glimpse of eyes in his mouth this morning.
So, what's happening? Is he eating some of them? Spitting some out?
I've noticed this pattern before, I think, though its been a year since they spawned last so my memory is fuzzy. I don't know if he ever carried any to term since I've never found any babies.
