I bought 2 cardinals on Saturday. One of them (the larger, fatter one) is now eating mysis heartily after a day or so of ignoring food. It also swims around the tank pretty well--generally behaving as expected, in other words.
The other one is a different story. It won't eat pellets, baby brine shrimp, mysis, or Cyclop-Eeze. I'm worried because it seems to react to the food in the water by jerking left and right, but it won't eat. It has been behaving very differently from the bigger fish, repeatedly climbing to the top of the tank, diving, and then swimming up and repeating. Today it's begun hiding kind of sideways under a rock along the sand bed.
It's a 50 gallon tank and there are no other fish, just corals and snails.
Should I worry?
