Bangaii Cardinal in my Nem??

Seems as though my Bangaii loves my Sebae Nem! He hasn't left it alone in the past couple of days! Not rolling in it like a clown does, but definitely NOT what I would expect!

Anyone else experience this?

If you research this more you would discover that Banggai cardinalfish commonly host both anemones and urchins in the wild. It really isn't that rare of an occurence. Check wetwebmedia and use the search feature here to learn more about this symbiotic relationship.

Fish do not host, they associate. In the wild Banggai are known to hang around longspine urchins, diving inbetween the spines when threatened. They also live around sea anemones but do not associate in them like clowns do.

Fishfreak... I DID search it here and found nothing. Of course, I didn't read EVERY single thread that contained the word cardinal, though.

Thanks for the info guys! He's not in the nem like clowns do, but just a half inch above it and hangs out there...won't roll around in it.

Ya cardinals seem to hover over certain areas that they like. My pajama cardinal now hovers over my gonipora most of the day. Took me forever to figure out why my gonipora was always sucked in during the day!
