Yup, came home last night to find my bangaii MIA, until I noticed poking out of one very large bubble coral, the tips of his tail.
Here's my question, the bubble's only been able to eat about half of him. He hasn't spit him out and seems fairly determined to get the rest, but I'm afraid the ammonia level is going to spike as part of the fish is exposed and starting to look a little...funky.
Do I let the bubble finish the fish, or do I remove it? I don't want to injur the coral and it would involve pulling the body out of the bubble's mouth.
It's a 20ga tank with a 3ga refugium as filtration (there's a fluval on there but I haven't changed media in 3yrs, so I don't count it...it's mostly for water movement).
The other inhabitants, besides coral, are two antennae gobies, a pistol shrimp and a mandarin (before flaming, she is well over a year old, eating pellets and mysis and cyclopeeze, as well as having the refugium soley dedicated to her).
