MY BREEDING PAIR OF BANGGAI'S JUST HAD ANOTHER BATCH.(EVERY 6 WEEKS). I ONLY GOT 6 BABIES IN MY OVERFLOW, JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT HOW MANY BABIES THE MALE CARRIES
My pairs usually produce between 15 and 25 when they spawn. My older pair tends to produce higher numbers (20-25) than the younger pairs (15-20). The youngest male that I have had successfully carry eggs was only 4 months old and he carried just 7 babies (all survived). He is now regularly producing 15-20. Make sure you seperate the male and female for some time between spawns so the male has some time to eat and build up some strength before he has to hold again.
Hello, I don't mean to hijack you thread but... I am interested in keeping a mated pair of banngais, preferibly tank raised. Do you happen to know where there best place find a tank raised pair is?
Thanks
