Banggii not eating

They need surprisingly little. I have one baby that is now an adult in my left overflow for over a year now without any intentional food going in there!

Are they holding babies? They go about 30d without food if they are!!!

They are sometimes finicky about pellet etc but they tear up mysis, freeze dried krill, and most frozen mixes IME.

While it's true that the male will go for 4 weeks without eating while carrying fry, that's unlikely to be the issue here. For one, that will only stop the male with the eggs from eating, not the rest of the. Second, it would be very unusually for them to start breeding immediately after being added to a tank.

It has been my experience that cardinals need settling in time before breeding. Wild caught are very problematical, but tank raised usually work pretty well although around here sell for slightly more.
