BareBottom C.T.A.R.S tanks.. ?

Will post pics this weekend. DSB vs BB all ones' choice. No need to go to battle, both work and in the end it is purely one's own preference. In this forum we have all seen amazing DSB and the same holds true for BB.

no battle here either..... just wanted to be nosey and see how much BB company I am gonna have... LOL!!!!

Actually, maybe I should have asked to see the cleanest tanks with the best growth.. Then I would have seen all the bare bottom tanks that way.. oops.. did I say that?

Jas, remind me to tell you about my nano at work!!!

bpd: do you have your MJs at the bottom of the tank or something? I ran 2 modified 1200s in my 55 with a 6" southdown DSB with no sandstorms. BB is fine... but I don't think sandstorms are a valid reason to make the switch. I would switch to 3 or 4 modded MJ 600s and you'll have no problems with sandstorms and much more turbulent flow (more sources). I still don't get how you have sandstorms with that setup in a 180 though...

Jas: I am itching to sneak into Steve's house one day and dump 1200 pounds or so of sand in there.... you in? ;)

i have a 75g with close to 4500gph runing through it. 6 inch dsb. no sand storms to speak of. its all obout where you place your water flow.

Ken--- i'm game!

Steve--- sorry. ( not so much though )

The issue is the angle of the pumps. If I could get them lower and pointing slightly upward then I should be fine. As of yet, i haven't been able to do it.

I know it's not a valid reason to switch.. BUT, it's another reason to add to the list.. lol
