Barebottom "Grass"

Would it be possible to have a barebottom tank, but grow zoanthids on the bottom to mimic a sort of grass?

ya, but then they'd start climbing the rocks and you'll have nothing but green star polyps.

Yeah, I am stacking the rock in my tank to look like trees, so I thought It would be cool to do some red green or orange zoas/palys to cover the bottom and go bare bottom to save money on sand and make it look like grass or fallen leaves.

Actually If Im not mistaken one of the totm weve had here recently had some encrusting monties on the bottom.

GSP would be a lot faster and look cooler IMO sorta like swaying grass

Yes on the goby's, goby's really need sand to be "happy", that is their natural environment.

i was just gonna say that. having a bare bottom tank full of GSP on the ground would look so sick.

Is there any way yo contain the Gsp from climbing the rocks?? Would t hey look bad in extended shaded areas?
