I just talked to Barrett and he went into the hospital on Monday night with stomach symptoms and he is still there. He still does not have a diagnosis and he is not exactly in a room ..he is in a holding room waiting on a bed so I could not get a contact number for him. He is in Methodist Germantown .

I am sure he will appreciate it . He called me to go feed the fish and check on the St. Jude tanks. He was really sort of out of it . Susan said they had been giving him dilauded. I will be checking the tanks until he is back on his feet. He did say they suspected food poisioning but had not confirmed it .
On a side note, I wish you guys could see how the corals are coloring up in the Chili tank. It is amazing. Everytime I go down there , I see more new growth. I have about memorized the coral placement so when something shifts , I can spot it . I have made some pictures but my cheap camera is no match for those 8 four hundred watt metal halides so the pictures are not too clear...they will do for recording coral growth but that is about all .
If I hear more from Barrett I will post it and let you guys know how he is doing.

Take it from one who had "Montezuma's Revenge" at one time, you need Dilaudid for the abdominal pain!! I was in the hospital for 2 days after eating a "tainted" burger back in the 70's at the Baptist Sundry (I am dating myself) while working at the old BMH on Madison.

Hey everyone. Thank's for the concern and prayers. They discharged me last night. I never got into a room. Baptist Germantown was packed and the bet I got was Processing, 1 step up from ED. Its a good thing I don't remember much of Tuesday. I went in Monday night at 5 and was on a gurney until Tuesday at 11 (so I'm told, i was REALLY out of it.) when I got to goto Processing and they got me a bead. Just so you know, a gurney will adequately hold an average man. That being said, from the shins down I was hanging off the blasted thing. Susan and my mom and brother told me all that happend when I was delirious from dehydration, and the crazy things I said in my delirium. I was apparently in the ED when a tornado hit. Cass came to visit but I don't remember it. I found that the monitor fairy visited me and stuck crap all over my chest. I found more today when I took a shower. Its apparently really hard to get an IV into a dehydrated person. I got holes and bruises in my hands, wrists, and forearms. All in all I received 10 bags of fluids, IV antibiotics, phenagril, and some other stuff that I know i would get addicted to if I had it regularly. I'm weakened and a few pounds lighter but alive and recovering at home now. Thanks everyone for your concern.

I told you not to drink the phytoplankton. Glad you're moving back into the land of the living. Proper hydration is a wonderful thing for both fish and humans.

FYI, I know there is some stigmatism (sp?) associated with it, but Methodist South Hospital ED is the place to go. EVERYONE wants to goto GTown, but the fact is the same Drs rotate through South (Save maybe some cardio Drs) that rotate through GTown, North, University and the out-patient centers. Don't get me wrong, go where you want, but South is under utilized and there are incentives there for the staff to get you in and taken care of. A friend of mine went to GTown ED and sat for 4 hours with his wife. The following month he had to take is father in law in and they went to South, they were taken care of in 15 minutes.
