Hello,

I'm looking at restocking my 70 gallon fish only tank. (It's aggressive now)

I was looking at Bartlett's Anthias and Carberryis on your site.

Now the questions.

Would Bartlett's Anthias or Carberryis work in a 70 gallon tank? (36 X 25 X 18)

If you how many? (3 or 5 or ?)

If you order then from you, can you get one male and the rest female?

Thanks for for your time!

aquaman67,

These Anthias are beautiful fish and would make an excellent addition to a fish only aquarium.

When deciding which specimen to add to your aquarium you will want to check the compatibility of each specimen in your aquarium to the specimen you would like to add to your aquarium first. We recommend only placing one inch of fish per gallon of water into your aquarium. To find the total amount of fish you should keep in the tank, you will need to find the size the fish will be when at adult size and add the number of inches together. This number will then be subtracted from the size of the aquarium to find the amount of room available in the aquarium for more specimens.

The least aggressive fish should be added to the aquarium first and then the more aggressive specimen should be introduced after the acclimation of each addition. If currently have more aggressive specimens being kept in the aquarium, you may want to make sure to offer plenty of hiding places for the new arrivals. You will also want to keep an eye on the new additions for a while to ensure the other tank mates are not picking on these fish.

We apologize that we are unable to guarantee that a specific gender will be shipped to you as this depends on what is available at our holding facility when your order is placed. If you would like to request a specific gender when ordering you will need to add this request to the “Notes for this order” and we will do our best to ship the specimen of your choice.
